Supporting Affordable Housing for Artists

The blues are back on the Bay with Cruise for a Cause, an evening of A-List music featuring Tommy Castro and the Painkillers, Kenny Neal and Tia Carroll with SFHDC’s own David Sobel on piano -- all aboard the fabulous San Francisco Belle for a five-hour blues cruise that will take you back to an era of adventure and Southern hospitality. Get on board to support affordable housing for local musicians and artists.

Founded in 1988 by a group of visionary African American community leaders, the San Francisco Housing Development Corporation (SFHDC) has been working for three decades to stem the tide of displacement that has disproportionately affected people of color. Our four core programs of affordable housing development, financial empowerment, supportive services and economic development work in concert to create opportunity for all San Francisco residents regardless of color, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, income or national origin. SFHDC invites you to join our mission of preserving African American heritage and rebuilding our community that is diverse, welcoming and affordable.
